I need help~!!!

Opened up my car bonnet and took out the air filter just now.... its freaking dirty~! Its a reuseable K&N Air Filter but I haven't washed it for like 40,000km~!!! I'm really pushing my luck. And my spark plugs haven't been changed for at least 40,000km too~! No wonder my fuel consumption is getting ridiculous. I foresee I'm gonna spend a bomb once I get my pay to get all these things sorted out. Engine Oil, Spark plugs, Air Filter.... hmmm...

Oh yar, I need help~! My car is leaking!!! Not coolant, thank god. Its leaking water every time after I parked the car. Water dripping from below the engine bay. What could be the cause of this? Can anyone one knowledgable in car tell me? I am good with bikes but nuts with cars.

haiz... my bike air filter needs to be cleaned too... I think I'll just go and buy the cleaning kit and clean both the car's and bike's air filter myself. Did a search on the internet and it seems easy... 6 Steps Cleaning Instruction.... hmmmm.... Wah sian... gotta remove the whole fuel tank again.... -__-"""

IQ Test Score

The 90/10 Principle

The 90/10 Principle
Author : Stephen Covey ( Management Guru)

Have you read this before?

Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. How?

By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minut e delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying go odbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why?

Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is " D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee.

How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened .

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a
towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you
come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic?

Do you lose your temper?

Pound on the steering wheel? (A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off)

Do you curse?

Does your blood pressure skyrocket?

Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life.

Bad days follow bad days.

Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged..

You can be different!

Understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life.........!!!!!!!

6 papers cleared...

Finally.... 6 papers cleared in 9 days.... POA today wasn't as easy as everyone hopes it to be but its kinda expected. Last year was the first year this new syllabus was introduced. Last year exam was damn easy....too easy. So its not surprising that this year's paper is damn tricky and difficult. Like I told some friends... Last year they test how easy they can go. This year they test how difficult they can go. Next year onwards, the papers should be more human.... =P

Oh well, I'm not interested to find out if I am right cuz I wanna pass it this year~!!! 12 more days to ESAP... a good break for me and I should try to organise my time more properly to make sure I cover everything... now like the previous 2 papers where I just cover the bare minimum.....

Just some pictures that were long overdued....

The library was my 2nd home.....
Fucking econs.... see already also no mood.....
Marketing.... prepared so hard for it only to screw it up during the last 3 critical hours.... -___-""

Hall 7 can look really intimidating.... especially if you are one of those people sitting on the chairs....
Enough crap....taking a break now...... =P

4 down... 3 more to go....

Finally, I've past the halfway mark..... had my Maths paper today. I really can't say how well I've done. I just know that I tried to do every questions I can. And I follow Jas advice... If don't understand anything, just differentiate one time to get some marks. I hope that will work. My confidence for Maths is so low that even when i get an answer, I will get worried because I can't believe I can get the answer so easily... haiz... aiyah don't care already lah... just wait for the release of the results in Sep lah...

2 more papers for this week before a I take a small little break.... after Friday's POA, it will be 12 days before ESAP on 30th May. Can't wait for that day to come.... =P

Met up with Andrew and Chin Lee at the coffeeshop yesterday. Chin Lee is graduating soon and is now back in the army to finish up what he owe. He has also recently joined Andrew in the Singles' Club. Yeah, Camella and him have broken up. From his side of the story, its a mutual thing. Camella is not getting any younger and her parents expect her to get married real soon. But Chin Lee, having just graduated, can't afford to marry her. He has got no car, no house, no money, and the pressure is mounting on Camella and so.... the official reason for the break-up.... Different family background. *faintz*

So many break-ups recently. First its Andrew (yeah, twice this year =P ), then its Chin Lee. Both are long term relationships that've lasted for years. And so far, all the reasons for the break-ups I've heard are all pretty lame. Apparently, Audrey don't like Andrew to drink. Andrew is willing to change and have changed but Audrey can't make up her mind. She don't know what she wants and they ended up going separate way. 6 years r/s gone just like that. Then there's Chin Lee with the "different family background" story... haiz... relationships can be really fragile yar? Cherish you loved ones everybody~!

The feeling of fear and stress...

3 papers in 24 hrs...I really don't know how I manage to do it. Econs was ok. Questions were quite straight forward. Or is it because I've put in much more efforts in studying Econs that everything seems more familiar? Was it an overdose of Econs that caused me to have a mental black-out during the Marketing paper? Marketing paper was ridiculous....ridiculously easy. At least 2 of the questions were cut-and-paste from the Mock Exam. And I did the 2 of them during Mock. So I guess I'm suppose to do well for them? No.... far from it. I looked at PLC and IM with eyes wide opened. For at least 5 mins, I did not know how to start. I forgot how and what to write. I forgot what I wrote for Mock.... haiz... I think my paper was a piece of crap... and I really don't want to think about the result.

The feeling of fear is strong and that leads to an enormous amount of stress. Like what Patrick said... "No one can understand our type of stress." To which I agree. Of course, people are gonna say that everyone will experience stress during exams. But our kind of stress is different....simply because we've failed before. Retaking 3 compulsory subjects which I'm extremely weak in. 4 new modules to cope. The risk of failing again. The fact that one can only attempt any subjects a maximum of 3 times. And it doesn't help very much with a fuck up timetable I have...6 papers within 9 days.... haiz... super stressed.... super duper stressed... The kind of stress and fear that I've never experienced before. Not even when I was lost in the Brunei jungle for 2 damn days without food and water. The feeling is so extreme that its sapping my energy. I'm just like a walking zombie now with no life.... Probably the only consolation I have is that I get to hug my baby once a while or before going into the exam hall. The long rides to and fro expo helps a little too... cuz when I ride, I don't think of anything else...I hope....

Studying Maths and HRM now.... I want my freedom... I want my life...

Happy Birthday Dionne~!!!

Attended Dionne's Birthday Party at NSRCC and it was great. Happy 21st Birthday to you, Dionne~! Pictures will be up when I get hold of them.

Studied with Ben and Venise at Commonwealth Mac till 3.30am. Can't take it anymore, and decided to go home. The moment I got to my bike, it starts raining cats and dogs...-___-""" Had to take a slow and cold ride home... Think my raincoat is leaking. Time to get a new set. Cheap raincoats don't last and expensive raincoats stink... Tough choice... =P

Took Jas out for a ride on Andrew's bike. Let her feel the sitting posture and acceleration. Surprising she liked it~! Didn't know she likes speed. And for those who don't know... if you ever wanna feel how real speed feels like, you do it on a bike. Those 150km/h kinda crap you clocked on your Vios, Lancer, Picanto and whatever craps, are nothing. Jas is already complaining that my Super 4 is damn slow... -__-"" Arghhhh I want my Hayabusa~!!!!!

Rider of the Storm....

It was a terrible mugging day~! Went to school abit too late and can't find any nice comfy place to study. Ended up outside LT3.14. No air-con and the air is hot and humid. Perspiring all the way.. sianz.. Did not study much today. Only do a bit of Stats and was chatting with Jas and Shaowei about cars and bikes most of the time.... =P

Waited for the weather to clear up before sending Jas home... Weather was good all the way to AMK and we were caught off-guard when it suddenly poured like crazy~! Its a super heavy storm lah. Dropped Jas at the bus stop and she gotta take a bus home for the remaining trip. Sorry baby~

I was stuck at the bus stop for a good 45mins before the rain becomes smaller. Wore my rain coat and rode back home. Unlike most people, I actually like to ride in the rain... Its so cooling and I feel like a small kid playing in the rain, just like what I used to always do when I was young... haha... But of course, riding in the rain requires extreme care and caution, and I've gotta be extremely alert. That's not an issue because I am always very alert when I ride. The road gets very slippery and that's when I need to be more gentle on the brakes to prevent wheel-locking and skidding.
I always see riding in the rain as a good opportunity for me to brush up on my riding techniques. If done properly, it can actually enhance my skill and make me a better rider.

Met up with Andrew at night to take his bike from him. Will be helping him look after his bike while he goes for his business trip at Houston. I simply love the power of his bike~! The power is just sooooo raw and unbelievable. He is okie with me using his bike while he is away but I can't because I didn't add myself as the sub-rider in his insurance. What a waste. Never mind, I shall save hard and get my own one day.... hopefully soon... =P

Learnt something about stocks from Brandon today. Sounds interesting. Will KIV till I got money... haha... =P

Went shopping for the big day. Bag too small but still managed to squeeze everything inside before riding back... kaoz, its super heavy... =P And Suntec carpark is fucking hot and stuffy.... sianz...

I finally found the ideal phone for my job... Blackberry 8800~! But the problem is, I can't seem to find it anywhere.... hmmmmm.....

Colorgenics Test

Try this.... Colorgenics Test
I think its kinda accurate... In fact, alot of people find it accurate... No harm trying for fun~! =)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You are a very sensitive person and you try hard (perhaps a little too hard) to make favourable impressions and to be recognised by your peers. But you have that inherent need to feel appreciated and admired and you are easily hurt if all of your endeavours go by unappreciated or not acknowledged. Stop trying so hard. *Got try very hard meh? No time to go out now, how to impress pple? LOL *

You are feeling very vulnerable at this time. *Yes...maybe...* Nothing seems to be going in the right direction - business wise, private-life wise, everything. *Damn right.. KNS.. endless amount of notes to study and remember, and it doesn't help that my bank account is empty... -_-" * You need some emotional security and an environment which could possibly provide fewer problems, but the way you are feeling you can't be bothered even to make the effort.

Loneliness is soul destroying and at this time you feel lost and lonely, * sometimes.....* perhaps it is because you feel so frustrated that you are prepared to go out of your way to become emotionally involved with someone who could accept you for what you are. *Wah this line is misleading... Don't sabo leh... I only have my one and only Jas... =P*You are egocentric, antagonistic and quick to take offence, although it must be said, you can control your pent-up up emotion and thus avoid open conflict. *This I agree... avoiding open conflict... Just because I don't talk doesn't mean I agree....*

You are feeling trapped by the situation as it stands at this time and what is more, you feel powerless to remedy it. You are stressful, angry and disgruntled. You feel that everything that you try to do to change the situation is thwarted and your hopes and aspirations all seem to be receding into the ever distant future. *KNS... Duhz... How to remedy the situation? Go and burn down UOL and then rob a bank ah? -_-" * You have reached the state where you now doubt whether your dreams will ever be achieved and this is not only causing mental stress but heartache. *Haiz....do you have to remind me... ?* You need to get away from it all - you need to have time to think, to recuperate, to be able to make your own decisions. *I wish I could.... easier said than done....*

You are trying to build up your own position and you resist all external influences. You insist that you are your own person and you will not tolerate any outside interference. Decisive and proud, you are true managerial material. *To lead, to excel, to overcome~! *

This story will make many girls happy... =P

A woman was walking down the street when she was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked her for a couple of dollars for dinner.

The woman took out her purse, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy a pair of shoes instead of dinner?"
"No," I had to stop buying new shoes years ago, the homeless woman replied.

"Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" the woman asked
"No I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."

"Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?" the woman asked.
"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!"

"Well," said the woman, "I'm not going to give you the money. "Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight."The homeless Woman was astounded. "Won't your hubby be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting."

The woman replied, "That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and buying new shoes."

Why does it always have to seem as if I am wrong?
Do I deserve it?
Maybe I do because I stirred up unnecessary trouble for myself?
Yes, it must be.
Blame no one except myself.
I just wanted to make her happy.
And I ended up making everyone frustrated.

*laalaa*

Wah super long time never update already. No time, no mood and nothing to update lah... Everyday also the same for me. Everyday study, eat, sleep... same routine everyday and it will be this way till 30 May. EXAM SUCKS~!!!

Okie lah, there are some activities here and there to boost up my boring student life....
Went drinking with Andrew, Bernardine and friends at Brewerks.. kaoz.. Andrew and Bernardine can finish 1 whole tower of beer (4L) on their own, plus some whiskey and still don't get drunk...-_-"

Met up with Weng Liong, Francis, Martin and Din. Been a long, long time since I last saw Weng Liong. Good to know that everyone is doing fine.

Fazli and Wei En finally got married on 1st Apr. Nope its not an April Fool joke. All the best to the newly-wedded~~!!!

Went jogging Andrew just now and I must admit my stamina has dropped drastically. Used to be able to keep in pace with him, now I am struggling to catch up. Time to start my running routine again before I suffer like hell back in the unit this June. =P

Back to the books again.... For all those preparing for exam...Goodluck~!

Everything's gonna be okie in the end.... If it's not okie, its not the end yet....
