Its over....

Finally its over~!!!! No more exams~!!!!

Too bad my exam ends on the eve of public holiday... wanna go out enjoy also cannot, cuz everywhere is damn crowded~! Zouk was jammed... so many people waiting outside and no way of getting in. DoubleO also full of people queueing outside. Ended up at Harry's with some buddies and a mug of beer.. old man style. Went over to Clinic but it was not really fun.... oh well, what to do? Its the public holidays and everyone is out in town. Nonetheless, I appreciated the fact that exam is over. 5 long months, 7 damn papers, 6 trips to the Expo and its finally over.

Oh yar... Jas got into an accident on Sunday... read more about it at her blog and Michelle's blog. Luckily she is fine... Merc is good~! Thanks to all those who sent their regards. =)

"No honey, I don't feel like it tonight..... "

Just For Laughs!

Found this online and decided to share it with everyone... =)

Title: 'No honey, I don't feel like it tonight....'
Author: Guy

One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, 'I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me.' I said, 'WHAT??!! What was that?!' So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear... 'You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.'

She responded to my puzzled look by saying,'Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?' Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.

The very next day I opted to take the day off work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy the mall.

She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, 'Let’s get a pair for each outfit.' We went on to the jewellery department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.

Let me tell you... she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis racket when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, 'That's fine, honey.'

She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said,'I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier.' I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, 'No honey, I don't feel like it.'

Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, “WHAT?' I then said, 'Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman.'

And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added,' Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?'

Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least that girl knows I'm smarter than her.

Deprived~!

The stupid bike forum has been down for 3 days already~!!! Without any notice or warning whatsoever... super sian... nothing to do online.... haiz.... so deprived of my daily dose of the bike forum~!

I need help~!!!

Opened up my car bonnet and took out the air filter just now.... its freaking dirty~! Its a reuseable K&N Air Filter but I haven't washed it for like 40,000km~!!! I'm really pushing my luck. And my spark plugs haven't been changed for at least 40,000km too~! No wonder my fuel consumption is getting ridiculous. I foresee I'm gonna spend a bomb once I get my pay to get all these things sorted out. Engine Oil, Spark plugs, Air Filter.... hmmm...

Oh yar, I need help~! My car is leaking!!! Not coolant, thank god. Its leaking water every time after I parked the car. Water dripping from below the engine bay. What could be the cause of this? Can anyone one knowledgable in car tell me? I am good with bikes but nuts with cars.

haiz... my bike air filter needs to be cleaned too... I think I'll just go and buy the cleaning kit and clean both the car's and bike's air filter myself. Did a search on the internet and it seems easy... 6 Steps Cleaning Instruction.... hmmmm.... Wah sian... gotta remove the whole fuel tank again.... -__-"""

The 90/10 Principle

The 90/10 Principle
Author : Stephen Covey ( Management Guru)

Have you read this before?

Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. How?

By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minut e delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying go odbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why?

Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is " D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee.

How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened .

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a
towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you
come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic?

Do you lose your temper?

Pound on the steering wheel? (A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off)

Do you curse?

Does your blood pressure skyrocket?

Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life.

Bad days follow bad days.

Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged..

You can be different!

Understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life.........!!!!!!!

6 papers cleared...

Finally.... 6 papers cleared in 9 days.... POA today wasn't as easy as everyone hopes it to be but its kinda expected. Last year was the first year this new syllabus was introduced. Last year exam was damn easy....too easy. So its not surprising that this year's paper is damn tricky and difficult. Like I told some friends... Last year they test how easy they can go. This year they test how difficult they can go. Next year onwards, the papers should be more human.... =P

Oh well, I'm not interested to find out if I am right cuz I wanna pass it this year~!!! 12 more days to ESAP... a good break for me and I should try to organise my time more properly to make sure I cover everything... now like the previous 2 papers where I just cover the bare minimum.....

Just some pictures that were long overdued....

The library was my 2nd home.....
Fucking econs.... see already also no mood.....
Marketing.... prepared so hard for it only to screw it up during the last 3 critical hours.... -___-""

Hall 7 can look really intimidating.... especially if you are one of those people sitting on the chairs....
Enough crap....taking a break now...... =P

4 down... 3 more to go....

Finally, I've past the halfway mark..... had my Maths paper today. I really can't say how well I've done. I just know that I tried to do every questions I can. And I follow Jas advice... If don't understand anything, just differentiate one time to get some marks. I hope that will work. My confidence for Maths is so low that even when i get an answer, I will get worried because I can't believe I can get the answer so easily... haiz... aiyah don't care already lah... just wait for the release of the results in Sep lah...

2 more papers for this week before a I take a small little break.... after Friday's POA, it will be 12 days before ESAP on 30th May. Can't wait for that day to come.... =P

Met up with Andrew and Chin Lee at the coffeeshop yesterday. Chin Lee is graduating soon and is now back in the army to finish up what he owe. He has also recently joined Andrew in the Singles' Club. Yeah, Camella and him have broken up. From his side of the story, its a mutual thing. Camella is not getting any younger and her parents expect her to get married real soon. But Chin Lee, having just graduated, can't afford to marry her. He has got no car, no house, no money, and the pressure is mounting on Camella and so.... the official reason for the break-up.... Different family background. *faintz*

So many break-ups recently. First its Andrew (yeah, twice this year =P ), then its Chin Lee. Both are long term relationships that've lasted for years. And so far, all the reasons for the break-ups I've heard are all pretty lame. Apparently, Audrey don't like Andrew to drink. Andrew is willing to change and have changed but Audrey can't make up her mind. She don't know what she wants and they ended up going separate way. 6 years r/s gone just like that. Then there's Chin Lee with the "different family background" story... haiz... relationships can be really fragile yar? Cherish you loved ones everybody~!

The feeling of fear and stress...

3 papers in 24 hrs...I really don't know how I manage to do it. Econs was ok. Questions were quite straight forward. Or is it because I've put in much more efforts in studying Econs that everything seems more familiar? Was it an overdose of Econs that caused me to have a mental black-out during the Marketing paper? Marketing paper was ridiculous....ridiculously easy. At least 2 of the questions were cut-and-paste from the Mock Exam. And I did the 2 of them during Mock. So I guess I'm suppose to do well for them? No.... far from it. I looked at PLC and IM with eyes wide opened. For at least 5 mins, I did not know how to start. I forgot how and what to write. I forgot what I wrote for Mock.... haiz... I think my paper was a piece of crap... and I really don't want to think about the result.

The feeling of fear is strong and that leads to an enormous amount of stress. Like what Patrick said... "No one can understand our type of stress." To which I agree. Of course, people are gonna say that everyone will experience stress during exams. But our kind of stress is different....simply because we've failed before. Retaking 3 compulsory subjects which I'm extremely weak in. 4 new modules to cope. The risk of failing again. The fact that one can only attempt any subjects a maximum of 3 times. And it doesn't help very much with a fuck up timetable I have...6 papers within 9 days.... haiz... super stressed.... super duper stressed... The kind of stress and fear that I've never experienced before. Not even when I was lost in the Brunei jungle for 2 damn days without food and water. The feeling is so extreme that its sapping my energy. I'm just like a walking zombie now with no life.... Probably the only consolation I have is that I get to hug my baby once a while or before going into the exam hall. The long rides to and fro expo helps a little too... cuz when I ride, I don't think of anything else...I hope....

Studying Maths and HRM now.... I want my freedom... I want my life...
