Updates for the week~!

Okie... so it has been a busy week for me with loads of things to do... no time and energy to slowly blog about it day by day, so let's just do it all at once... =P

22 Oct (Mon)
Resident Evil 3 with Jacq. Its a damn nice show~! My all time favourite. This time round its as good as before and there is definitely going to be a Resident Evil 4. Looking forward to that... =)

23 Oct (Tue)
Dinner treat at The Rice Table at International Building by Caroline, for the Student Care and Services department. It's for the work we've contributed for the Student Week.. helping to organise Duet Superstar etc.
After dinner was coffee at Starbucks... Didn't know John's brother, James, is actually the store manager of Liat Tower Starbucks... haha... the world is small... everyone knows everyone.... =P
The people doing the sports segment for Student Week
And that's us... we did the Duet Superstar.... opps.. Cindiie was the one who took this photo... Sorry Cindiie, you can't be in this photo!!! hehehe...
Me and Caroline... our big boss~!
24 Oct (Wed)
Full day lesson as usual. Went to HKL to check out the K&N Air Filter for my bike. Wah lao its damn expensive lor... $110... BMC is worse at $180... I need to change my air filter~!!! Okie lah... its not a need but I want~!!! Dinner with Jas at the Thomson Prata House after that.

25 Oct (Thur)
Went to Regina to check out the fuel tank cap sticker but there's none. So I went to the shop opposite Regina to get it. Damn sianz lor... spent $20 on a fuel tank cap sticker that can't stick... The surface of the outer ring of my fuel tank cap is very rough and needs very strong adhesive tape to stick well. Apparently the one I got is not of good quality.... =(
Hang out with Martin at Dean's store. Now not only are we casual labour for Dean's store, we are also Despatch Riders~!! KNS... he want us to help him send 8 sleeves of cups to the One Fullerton store... Smartass Martin agrees but when he reaches his bike, he realised that there's no way for him to carry that huge paperbag full of cups on his bike... Ended up I pillion him over to One Fullerton... sibeh gay lor... I hate to pillion guys... and he has to sit so close to me..... -__-""" Anyway, he finally get to feel the power of Hayabusa... I think he is more tempted to get his Class 2 bike already.... haha...
Pick Jacq up from her work place at Changi Airport to have supper at Bedok 85. Seriously, I think the bar chor mee there is really over-rated... quite normal what... don't know why everyone also say that its damn good... okie lah actually to me bar chor mee all taste the same... =P

26 Oct (Fri)
Dinner with Evelyn at Kim Gary's HK Cafe at Vivocity. Wah the queue was damn long when I reached lor... Luckily the food was not bad. Its nice to be catching up with her. I know Evelyn will be reading this (I just found out I got myself a blog fan~! hahahaha.... )... So, thank you for the company~!
Went to a pub at Clarke Quay to join Andrew and friends for some live band performance. Been a week since I catch up with Andrew. He is damn busy with work cuz he is preparing for a trip to Houston again.. Must ask him to help me buy some accessories for my busa~!!! The band was okie but the crowd is sucky. Got a bit sick looking at all those SPG trying to hit on those Ang Mos... *puke* The rest of them continued to party at Butter Factory, but I don't feel like clubbing, so Agnes and me went off for prata at Jalan Kayu. Still prefer the prata at Thomson but it was a bit out of the way. =P

27 Oct (Sat)
Ahmad invited us to his house for the Hari Raya gathering.
The ladies...
The guys...
Ahmad's mum prepare a very delicious lunch for us~! Thanx auntie~! =)
It was also a day we celebrate Ahmad's 23rd Birthday~! Birthday boy with the ladies...
The girls preparing the damn cute cake....
The very cute cake~!
The happy birthday boy.... hehe...
2006 SIM UOL SRC Excos~!
Went to help out at dad's stall as usual. After work, on one of my secondary schoolmate, Andrew's invitation (okie... I have lots of friends name Andrew~!), I went over to join his club's Halloween Ride. His was a motorcycle club made up of mostly Harleys riders. But there are a few riders with other bike makes too. I was there with Lionel (Z1000) and its really quite fun.
Andrew's club... MRMC
At Carpenter's Street, preparing to move off...
We have Fazer1000 too~ Nice and friendly rider, though I forgot his name already...
Andrew, Lionel and Me.. friends since secondary school... We stopped over at Zouk to take photos with those party-goers who were all really dressed up in the weirdest costumes for the Halloween Party~! Everyone were in costumes and they made us look like the weird ones without any costumes... haha...
MRMC and the party-goers~
Me, Lionel, Andrew and Andrew.... haha... My buddy Andrew Ong came over and joined us too. Had a great chat, the bikers style.

28 Oct (Sun)

Every rose has its thorns,

just as everybody have their flaws.

loving someone isn't a constant pursue of trying to remove the thorns,

but to learn the acceptance of the pricks.

A thorn defends the rose,

harming only those who would steal the blossom.

A Day at Lakeside Fishing Village...

On a nice stormy Saturday morning, I crawled out of bed and went prawn fishing at Lakeside Fishing Village~! OMG.... I still can't believe I actually managed to wake up. Went for breakfast at Taman Jurong Market. Wah that place is super ulu lor... the road names are weird and quite confusing. Luckily the sky began to clear when we reach the fishing village... not too bad after all... =)
Martin cutting up the cockles to be used as baits... looking professional as usual... haha... Okie lah, actually the rest of us were just too lazy to do the dirty work... hehe..
My first time fishing for prawn... hehehe.... trying to look pro... but damn... 2 whole hours and never catch a single thing~!!! -__-""
Patiently waiting.....
Still waiting.... look at Kelvin's fishing rod.... after 2 hours of waiting, can't hold straight anymore.... hahahaha....
And so we got bored and decided to watch people fish instead....
Fishing seems easier lor... this guy catch fish like nobody's business... the moment he throw his hook in, he will get a catch... he got at least 10 over fish, each one of them at least the size of the one in the photo...
We were all kinda demoralised, when Evelyn finally decided to use her beauty smile to charm that malay uncle who was fishing beside us. He was damn pro lah.. throw in the hook, less than a minute, confirm can catch a prawn... and he just kept catching one after another, making us look like 4 idiots staring blankly into the water, hoping that a prawn will just pop out of the water.... -_-"" Evelyn managed to get the uncle to reveal to us the secret trick. Shall not waste server space by elaborating the trick. Pay me and I will teach you... hehehe... Anyway, after we've learned the trick, the 4 of us managed to catch 10 prawns within the next 50 mins~!!! Kaoz... Evelyn should have used her charm earlier... we might just end up with 30 prawns... =P
Martin's first catch using the secret trick!!!
My first catch after 2 hours~! That's after using the secret trick for less than a minute... hehe... Its quite a big prawn lor... =P
Trying hard... last burst of fire to recover what we lost in the last 2 hours...
The final count... 10 prawns in the net, 1 dead, 1 escaped from Kelvin's hand!

Captain's Ball @ SIM

Used to be the game I always play back in secondary school. I am damn lousy with soccer, that's why I always ended up playing captain's ball with the ladies. Ended up I pretty good at it... haha... Got to play it again today. A competition organised by the SIM Netball Club. We played 4 games but didn't managed to make it into the semi-finals. Its alright I guess... just for the fun of it..... =)
Guess I am really getting old... each game of 7mins is enough to make me totally shagged out... haha... time to train up the stamina again...
My team with Caroline... Gone Stale... That's our team name... haha...
Waiting for our turn.... zzzzz
The Game...
After the first game.... still feeling okie... hehe...
After the last game... haha... hours in the sun have no effect on my fair skin... -__-""
Good game guys and girls~!

SIM Bikers Outing

After so many months of talking, finally it happened... haha... Met up with 6 other SIM Bikers today for dinner at Al Ameem. Made new friends and it was fun. Now I know the owners of the bikes I always park beside at the carpark. Luckily the rain stopped in time and we were able to make our way there from school without getting drenched.

The bad thing is that we all kena summon.... -__-"
Was eating halfway when one of us saw a traffic warden giving summon to the cars. We thought since he is at the cars side, that means we still got chance. All of us quickly run to our bikes. Got a big surprise when we saw 3 traffic wardens standing there issuing summons... sianz... kena already... all 6 of us... =P

Crazy leh... 3 wardens all at once... kns.... run so fast also no use.... luckily its only 8 bucks.... I think its a proven fact that it is a must to put coupons at the Al Ameem carpark... the traffic wardens are very siao on about that area.. dunno why also.... -_-""

It is always nice chatting with people who have common interest.... loads of experience sharing and tips. Daryl is getting more siao.... say wanna bring us go Ipoh eat donuts... *faint* or go Pagoh eat A&W *faint faint*..... Glenn suggest going to Port Dickson eat KFC.... SINGAPORE DON'T HAVE KFC MEH??? haha.... Chicken rice lunch at Malacca sounds great too.... wah crazy... as if Singapore really no food to eat... must go so far... But its not about the food... the food is just the bonus... its all about the ride.... =)

Two Days We Should Not Worry

Two Days We Should Not Worry

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry,
two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed;
we cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow
with all its possible adversities, its burdens,
its large promise and its poor performance;
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise,
either in splendour or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow,
for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today.
Any person can fight the battle of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities
Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,
it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday
and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.

MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS..

MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS..

Chapter One

We usually become angry or frustrated with the opposite sex because we have forgotten this important truth. We expect the opposite sex to be more like ourselves. We desire them to"want what we want" and "feel the way we feel." This attitude sets us up to be disappointed again and again and prevents us from taking necessary time to communicate lovingly abt our differences. We MISTAKENLY assume that if our partners love us they will react and behave in certain ways.

Men mistakenly expect women to think, communicate, and react the way men do; women mistakenly expext men to feel. communicate and respond the way that women do. We have forgotten that MEN AND WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DIFFERENT. This leads to unncessary conflicts and friction.

Men felt loved when they feel that they are needed. Women felt loved when they feel that they are being cherished.

When men and women are able to respect and accept their differences then love has a chance to blossom!!! Love is magical, and it can last, if we remember our differences.

Chapter Two

The most frequently expressed complaint women have about their men is that men don't listen! Men tends to offer solutions to women when a women complaints to make her feel better. He is confused when she doesn't appreciate this gesture of love. No matter how many times she tells him that he's listening, he don't gets it and keep doing the same thing. WOMEN WANTS EMPATHY, BUT HE THINKS SHE WANTS SOLUTIONS.

The most frequently expressed complaint men have abt women is that they are trying to change them. When a women loves a man she feels responsible to assist him in growing and tries to help him improve the way he does things. She thinks she is nurturing him, while he feels he's been controlled. INSTEAD, WHAT HE WANTS IS HER ACCEPTANCE.

MARSIANs: A men's sense of self is defined through his ability to achieve results. To offer a man advices, is to presume tat he doesn't know what to do or that he can't do it on his own.

VENUSIANs: A women's sense of self is defined through her feelings and the quality of her relationships. She felt loved when cherished when someone listens.

What marsians should do: Learning to listen. Men needs to remember that women talk abt problems to get close and not necessary to get solutions.

What venusians should do: Give up giving advices and criticism.

Chapter Three

One of the biggest difference between men and women is how they cope with stress!

How Men cope with stress:
They never talks about whats bothering him, he would never burden another man with his problems. Instead, he becomes very quiet and goes to his private cave to think abt his problem, and will try to solve it.

When a man is stressed, he will withdraw into the cave of his mind and focus on solving a problem. he becomes so focused on solving his one problem that he temporarily loses awareness of everything else.

How women react to this cave:
When a man is stuck in his cave, he is powerless to give his partner the quality attention she deserves. It is hard for her to accept him at these times because she doesn't know how stressed he is. She feels hurt when he turned on the news or goes outside to play some basketball and ignores her. She then may ask for his support in a demanding tone, as if she has to fight for her rights with this uncaring men.

On the other side, men generally have little awareness of how distant they become when they are in the cave.

How Women Cope with stress:
When a women is stressed she instinctively feels a need to talk abt her feelings and all the problems that are associated with her feelings. If she is upset, then she is upset abt it ALL, big and small. She is not immediately concerned with finding solutions like men did, but rather seeks relief by expressing herself and being understood.

As a man under stress tends to focus on one problem and forget others, a woman under stress tends to expand and become overwhelmed by ALL problems. To feel better, women talk abt past, future, potential problems and even problems with no solutions. This is the way woman operates.

How men react when women need to talk:
When women talks abt problems, men usually resists. A man assumes she is talking with him abt her problems because she is holding him resposible. A man doesn't know that she will appreciate it if he just listens.

Peace: Men learned to respect that women needed to talk to feel better. Even if he didn't have much to say, he learned that by listening he could be very supportive. Women learned to respect that men needed to withdraw to cope with stress, not that they don't love her.

Complicated

Things are getting more complicated than it should. Appreciated all those who wanna try to help but I think its better for me and Jas to resolve any problems ourselves. It is our relationship and we are mature enough to handle it ourselves.

Please refrain from posting anything unconstructive. Thank you.

Confined

Staying at home the whole day made me feel very confined. Don't like this feeling being stuck at home. A short ride up north to top up my busa is a good way to release the trapped soul. Petrol price is up again... this time by 5 cents.... *faint* Very soon a Grade 95 petrol will cost $2... just wait and see. Malaysia, truly Asia~! Where cheap petrol lies... haha... crap... =P

For my own record:
Home >> 2nd Link Shell >> Home = 65km

I was looking at the Astrology section of my Facebook and surprisingly, this is what it say for today... :
Alvin,
Like most people, your brain works much better when it's stimulated by something new. Your sentimental feelings may keep you from getting things done. Remember the good times you have had in the past, but try not to dwell on them. It is time for you to move on.

Time to move on....

No lesson today... The lecturer's child is having PSLE tomorrow, so she took a day leave to accompany her child and re-scheduled our lesson to Thur night.... Goodluck to all the kids taking PSLE... Your first step into the meritocracy society.... -__-""

Wanted to go out at first but decided to stay at home to clean up my room since it has been a long time. Cleared away loads of rubbish. The amount of dirt and dust in my room is horrendous.... *faint*

I looked around and decided that I should do something to keep some stuff that constantly make me sad. And so I took down all the photos of Jas that I had on my wall, the photo frames etc... Suddenly, my room feel empty... Our relationship filled my life for 7 years and removing everything now make it seem so empty now....
Part of the stuff.....
I have a little drawer in my room which I used to keep away things that are of memorable values to me over the years. These are things I cherished, but they are all things that made me very sad once. It hurts to see that all these wonderful memories have to go into the drawer now...

Time change. People change. Change is the only constant. Life goes on, whether I like it or not. I have loads of friends around me, but nothing can cure the lonely and injured heart. Time will heal all wound. I know. And its time to move on..... but how far can I go... I don't know...

I'm glad she finally found her freedom. Her first steps towards a fun-filled and exciting life, after 7 years... I'm sure she has thought it through thoroughly. Like I always said, unlike guys, girls don't make rash decision. At this point in time, I can only wish her all the best....

For moment last for seconds but memories live on forever.....

Mersing 2007

Singapore is a small country and there's seriously not many places we can go to, especially for bikers. We need long stretches of roads to exercise our beast once in a while and Malaysia is our nearest alternative. When I was riding my Super 4, I used to be very hesitant when friends asked me to join them for rides up north. Most of them were riding Class 2 bikes and its really tedious for a 400cc to be chasing Class 2 bikes. Average traveling speed of 140kph to 180kph is very normal for them, but it will max out my Super 4. So I chose to stay put in Singapore. All these will change, now that I have my Hayabusa. Weekend rides up north are no longer tedious or stressful. Now is time to enjoy the ride.... Me, my bike and the endless road ahead... It may not always be a smooth journey... but nothing is going to stop me from moving forward.
The furthest I've went with my Super 4 was to Bukit Indah for Supper. It was a small town about 40km from the 2nd link. On my virgin trip with my busa, I went to Mersing... a small town by the South China Sea, about 150km from the 1st link, via Route 3. It was a simple and short trip. Together with me were Andrew and Louise and we got Andrew's friend, Singh, to lead us there. Singh is a very experienced rider who have rode up to Thailand, India, Laos etc.... He is fast.... very fast. I had a hard time catching up, probably because I was still not used to my bike and also unfamiliar with the road condition...
A light breakfast at JB town... That's Singh.
From left to right: Me (Busa), Singh(R1), Andrew(K6), Louise(K6)
Mid-point... Resting at a petrol station that is situated in the middle of nowhere... Never even see that brand of petrol before... think its BHP.... anyway, I don't have to pump petrol here. My busa fuel consumption is very good when traveling at high speed so I don't have to top up that often. In Singapore, 1 full tank can last me about 240km. During this trip, 1 full tank lasted me 340km~! Moral of the story.... GO FAST~!
Reached Mersing at about 12pm but all the shops are closed~! We forgot that its fasting month for the Malays, so all the eating houses won't be open until evening.... -___-"""
No choice... can only hang around for some drinks before heading to the main town area for food...
It was a very nice and cooling place. That's the South China Sea behind me! The photo does not do justice to the very scenic view. You have to see it for yourself.... =)
Me, Singh, Andrew and Louise
After lunch at the town... preparing to go back to Singapore.
Mersing
