Woke up quite late today cuz I was watching soccer the night before until 3am. Don't really know how to appreciate match cuz I am a soccer idiot. It wouldn't have been that bad if the match was interesting. Wasted my petrol to go down to Mohd Sultan to watch soccer with edmund, chan ming, howe and alvin teo cuz the match ended with a 0-0 draw... piangz.... what the hell is italy doing... nvm... anyway I was sleeping through half the match... Told howe to wake me up when they score... haha
Went out to meet Jas to eat prata at Roti Prata House for lunch. Jas bought a cake from sweet secret for mum and she seems quite happy... haha... Went to town after that to look for a shaver for dad. Father's Day coming mah... Bought a electric shaver at besk denki. Not exactly the best one around but its within budget. Walk around town for a while before heading to east coast.
Sat at the breakwater at east coast with jas for about 2 hours, talking about everything under the sun. Darling is always so cute. She seems to be so easily amazed by things around her. She talked about her childhood stuffs too and we had some good laughs. Went to eat dinner at the hawker centre in east coast and sent her back after that.
Packing my stuff now, preparing to go back to camp. Sianz... But never mind... will be out again tomorrow night... haha...

Ex Lightning Pegasus 2004 ~ DaY fIvE to sIx...
Finally I am going home soon. But not before we wash up all the guns. Washing the vehicles was a terrible nightmare. We have got only one pathetic water hose to wash 11 armoured vehicles! And to add salt to wound, that pathetic hose has got pathetic pressure! When I saw that washing area I nearly burst out laughing. Actually I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. Its like a joke to ask us to wash all our vehicles using that hose. We went on a search around the damn big camp and grab anything we can use to wash the guns. In the end, we managed to get this BIG water truck to come to our rescue. It has amazing pressure. Those you use for fire fighting. The pressure is so strong that we need 6 ppl to hold on to the hose to control it. With that piece of crap, we are able to complete our task pretty soon.
Went to the canteen after more than 12 hours of washing. Canteen food was great as usual. Howe and Edmund ordered so much food and ate as if there's no tomorrow. 2IC ordered a glass of coconut milk but gotta throw it away after a housefly went diving into his drink. The housefly drowned and the drink got wasted. 2IC was damn upset. Got another glass and this time round he makes sure he holds on to his drink... haha...
Last day was fun. Everyone went on a shopping rampage. Not for me. Cuz there's nothing much to buy. I've already got most of the T-shirts that they are selling. I am not interested in fake LV and the fake branded bags doesn't appeals to me. So there I go, sitting at one corner, eating my ice-cream... haha... the ice cream is good. for the preice of less than $2, you get swensen standard ice-cream... good buy~!
Finally, time for us to leave. Reach Singapore at about 3 am. Went to DFS to buy some beer for dad and a vodka citron for myself. Home sweet home at 5am and sleep and sleep and sleep....

Started the Live Firing Exercise early in the morning. As predicted, the journey to the firing area was damn screwed up. Terrain was so bad that a lot of equipment were damaged before we even start the whole damn thing. Our vehicles have to bash through thick vegetation and I suffer most of it. This is because I have to pop my head out of the commander's hatch and got the direct hit from all that branches, thorns and ants. Wei wen was driving freaking fast and I always dun have enough time to hide... full of injuries now.
Live firing was pretty easy. Just the usual stuff we always practice. Just that this time round real ammo are used. Bad things is that all the senior ppl keep comming to my command post to check on me... sian... wanna relax a bit also cannot. There were some hiccups here and there but they were quickly resolved by my boss. They weren't the best solution I must say, but at that kind of condition, we only need one man to make a command decision. The rest will follow. No questions asked. No arguments. No negotiations. If its a bad decision, whoever gives the order have to bear the responsibilities and consequences. That's how things work.

Ex Lightning Pegasus 2004 ~ DaY tWo...
Woke up early in the morning at about 5am. Had some light breakfast and headed to the temple. By tradition, all training troops should go up to the temple to pray prior to their exercise, so that they would have a safe training exercise. Usually the commanders would go and represent the whole units. The temple us situated on top of a mountain which is directly behind KMC. And when I say its a mountain, its really a mountain. Bukit Timah Hill is nothing compared to it. There is only one way to the temple. And that's the very very very steep staircase that brings you from the foot of the mountain to the very top! We are suppose to climb up the steps, one at a time, without skipping any steps. This is a way of showing our sincerity. By the time we got up to the temple, all of us were out of breathe, legs cramped and unable to stand straight. But for the safety of our troops, I guess its worth it. I prayed for my troops to have a safe journey and that everyone will go home safely. I also prayed a little bit extra. I prayed for my little darling to be safe in Singapore too.... haha.. Typical Singaporean... climb so high already, so must make as much request as I can.... haha...
After the temple trip, we went to do a recce at the training area. Nearly fainted when I saw the kind of terrain that we need to travel through. Its gonna be one hell of a nightmare...
Had a quick lunch and then went to prepare my vehicle for the exercise. Help the guys load the ammo into the guns and by nightfall, we were good to go. Went to take a quick shower at the ever smelly bathing area. Must enjoy a bit before going outfield mah... haha... the bathing area is really disgusting. Its just one BIG rectangular concrete container filled with water that looks very green cuz of the thick layers of algae in it. We just use some scoop to scoop the water up and bath. VERY DISGUSTING SIGHT. But then again. No choice. Bath or suffer the discomfort.... haha...
Went back to sleep asap after that. Must catch as much sleep as I can before the exercise, cuz I would definitely not get to sleep when I am out there in the field... Praying for good weather before I doze off...

Arrived at the Thai Army Military Airbase at about 12 noon. Just got off the plane and we can already feel the intense heat thats devouring us. Waited for a while before the bus came and took us on a 2 hours ride to KM Camp (KMC). Nothing much to see on the way... just a few mountains, some cows, some villagers... the rest were all just vast plantations with no ends at sight. Arrived at KMC, greeted by the usual sight of big dirty training sheds, converted into sleeping areas, plenty of military vehicles and mud everywhere.
Got no time to waste. Quickly got into our gears and went for OPs brief by HQ. There were many of them to attend. By the time we finished the last brief, it was already 11pm. Freaking hungry by then cuz have not eaten a proper lunch and missed dinner altogether. Went to the houseflies infested canteen to have dinner with Howe and Edmund... Actually I still can't believe I ate those food there.... with so many houseflies flying around, sharing the same food as me... but no choice, there's no other food available. Just got to pretend its not there... One day down.. 5 more to go....

As usual, slept until damn late today. Was lazing around on bed until my mum asked me to go and eat breakfast... Lazy pig...haha... Gave my car a thorought exterior wash today. Its sparkling clean and I felt a great sense of achievement. Only sad thing is that I am not to be the one to enjoy the shine. Probably dad's gonna drive it while I'm away. Just hope that he'll take care of it like me. That's not gonna be very possible since human being only takes care of his own thing. Never mind. I don't have a choice. Just gotta close my eyes and pray. Do whatever he wants with the car. Just don't let me know or see it.....
Went to PS to watch Harry Potter with Jas, mich, geok and elaine. Quite interesting, though I still prefer the previous ones. Elaine, Geok and Mich rush of to camp straight after the movie... They were VERY late I suppose. Anyway, they were never early so I guess it doesn't really matter... haha... Went to Prata House for prata dinner with darling and rushed straight home to pack my stuff... Gotta end this real soon cuz I still gotta WALK back to camp... Haven't really walked back to camp for a long time already... haha... been driving for too long, kinda not use to it... hehe...

diNNeR wItH mY fAmiLy...
Had quite a slow day today... woke up damn late in the morning... about 11am.. well that's kinda late enough for me though I know of pple who can actually sleep until 2pm. Anyway, I woke up just in time to go to the mrt station to pick Jas up. Bought lunch at the foodcourt, then went to NTUC to buy some essentials for my Crescendo trip. Jas also bought a packet of cookie dough to make cookies for me to bring up the flight to eat. So sweet! hehe... anyway, we were kinda excited about the cookie thingy, so we quickly ate lunch and start the cookie making session. We've tried making cakes before and this is our first time baking cookies. Quite clueless as we were arguing about how much to stir, how much dough to put into the mixture and how much dough drops to put on the tray for baking. We were quite cautious and decided to bake the cookies in batches so that we can have some trail and error..... actually its also because we don't have enough trays to bake all at one time lahz... haha.. The cookies turn up quite well. Its very tasty~! haha... Not a very bad experience for a pair of first timers... hee~ Thanx dear for the cookies~!
Went swimming after the tiring cookies baking session. Don't really intended to swim.. Just wanna soak in the water but was forced by Jas to swim 10 laps! Went to the jacuzzi after that and fell asleep inside for dunno how long... haha... Quite a good way to relax on a lazy sunday afternoon. Actually its also partly because I have not more money to go out... so might as well make use of the facilities that we paid for monthly...hehe... lame excuse.
Dinner with my family after that. Haven't really had a proper dinner with my whole family for at least a few month already. We had everyone in today. Mum and Dad. Sis and her bf, Jiahan. Me and darling Jasmin. Ate so much. My dad just kept ordering non-stop...haha... I am still bloated now, with all the food still swimming in my stomach.... My tummy is a sorry sight... getting bigger by the days.... Luckily I still got train... so can maintain a bit.... hehe... alright I promise I'll train more.... hee~ For now, maybe I should go to sleep...hehe.. getting sleepy already... =P

Just came back from Holland Village... Had satay dinner with Andrew, Chin Lee and Jas. Ate a lot of satay... really a lot...haha... Didn't know we can actually have satay for dinner. Had a drink after that and chatted non-stop. Audrey came half-way and join us, just in time to see Andrew down his 3 bottle of beer...haha.. too late =P
Had a lot of argument with Andrew over a lot of things. Politics, education system, military system and all sorts of crappy stuff... really got of breathe, trying to prove my point. Chin Lee was clueless as usual, although he claims that he remains silent because he agrees with whatever we've said. Jas was trying hard to catch up our pace and listen attentively, though I don't really know if she understands what we are arguing about, since I was quite lost myself.
Sent Chin Lee and Jas home after that and here I am, back on my cosy bed... Talked so much just now... Must drink a lot of water to compensate for the saliva that I've lost. Will bee sleeping soon cuz I still need to pack my bag for Crescendo tomorrow. I'm leaving on Monday and I still have not packed my bag~! Oh yar, I think I should also give my car a good wash before I leave... haven't washed it for such a long time already...

Another day of my life....
Had quite an eventful and fulfilling week... hehe... quite good for me... Haven't had anything good happening to me for weeks already. Went for the Airborne Course Selection the day before and managed to pass. Now just waiting for the upper management to decide whether I go or not. Really hope I can get into the course. That's like a childhood dream since my NCC days. Can't do it during NCC so I do it when I am in the Army... haha... crapz... They are gonna choose 100 out of 240 guys... sIgHz.. should start praying now....
Went to watch The Day After Tomorrow with darling yesterday. Not too bad... pretty much expected what its gonna be like already... Got a little bit of extras though.. The freaking cold theatre add atmosphere to the movie....haha I think I can almost feel the kind of cold those characters in the movie are feeling. =P
Saw my favourite Mazda 6 - 2.3 Sports at SUNTEC. That'll probably serve as a motivation for me to start saving...hehe... Its really a cool car~! Sporty interior, good engine... you name it.... MUST START SAVING~!
Slacking at home now waiting for things to happen... actually I'm waiting for darling to come after she finish work... Don't where to go today. Its such a chore to be broke. I promise I'll not over-spend the next time round... haha... Oh but I still gotta change my car rims and tyres, send it for servicing, give it a good polish and maybe add some accessories. Oh no.... how am I going to save next month... okie... maybe the next next month then.... haha.... when will the saving ever happens...
